Jhon Damian-Bruno/Peru/DUI

Jhon Damian-Bruno, a 23-year-old citizen of Peru, was arrested by ICE officers from the Salt Lake City field office’s Boise Sub-Office during targeted enforcement operations in Boise, Idaho. Damian-Bruno has a criminal history that includes a conviction for driving under the influence and an active outstanding warrant for attempted strangulation.

ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations officers identified Damian-Bruno as a fugitive following a review of his criminal record and warrant status. His prior DUI conviction involved operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated, endangering both himself and the public. The outstanding warrant for attempted strangulation adds to the severity of his legal situation, as it indicates ongoing interest from local law enforcement in connection to a violent offense.

Following his arrest, ICE officers coordinated with the local police department, turning Damian-Bruno over to their custody to address the pending criminal charges. ICE also lodged an immigration detainer to ensure that he will be transferred back to ICE custody for immigration enforcement after local proceedings conclude.
