Leonardo Silguero-Jimenez
Leonardo Silguero-Jimenez/Mexico/Paisas Gang Member
Leonardo Silguero-Jimenez, a 23-year-old Mexican national, was arrested by officers with the Salt Lake City Field Office’s Reno Sub-Office during targeted enforcement operations in Reno, Nevada. Silguero-Jimenez is a documented member of the Paisas gang, a transnational criminal organization known for its involvement in drug trafficking and violent activity throughout the United States and Mexico.
Silguero-Jimenez had previously been removed from the United States but unlawfully re-entered the country without inspection or parole by an immigration officer. In addition to his illegal re-entry, he has a prior conviction related to drug possession, further contributing to his classification as a criminal alien and enforcement priority. ICE officers located him during routine enforcement activity and confirmed both his gang affiliation and prior deportation.
The Paisas gang, which originated within the federal prison system, has been linked to multiple criminal enterprises, including narcotics distribution, assault, and weapons trafficking. Silguero-Jimenez’s ongoing presence in the U.S. in violation of immigration law and his association with this gang raised serious public safety concerns.
Following his arrest, ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations officers initiated removal proceedings. Silguero-Jimenez is currently being held in ICE custody and will remain detained pending the outcome of his immigration case.
