Illegal alien child predator sentenced to 50 years for producing pornography with 8-year-old relatives

A Guatemalan national living in sanctuary California was sentenced to 50 years in prison after using his young nephew and niece to produce child pornography.

Angel Emilio Rodriguez-Marroquin, a 20-year-old illegal immigrant from Guatemala, was convicted after recording himself sexually assaulting his 8-year-old nephew and 8-year-old niece with special needs, HSI Los Angeles shared on X.

He pleaded guilty to the production of child pornography and possession of child pornography.

Federal agents from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations division in Los Angeles arrested Rodriguez-Marroquin on Nov. 22, 2025, following an investigation.

He was accused of producing child sexual abuse material of “kids he knew who were as young as eight years old,” ICE shared in its own post, adding: “ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations officers will be there to pick him up from prison if he is ever eventually released.”

Investigators obtained material that featured the young children, including footage of him sexually assaulting them, HSI said.

Rodriguez-Marroquin was sentenced to 600 months in prison — a total of 50 years — on May 18. He will be processed for removal following his prison sentence.

“The sentencing of Rodriguez-Marroquin reflects Homeland Security Investigations’ unwavering commitment to protecting the most vulnerable members of our community from horrific acts of exploitation,” HSI Los Angeles Special Agent in Charge Eddy Wang said. “This case demonstrates the dedication of HSI and our law enforcement partners to ensuring that perpetrators of child sexual abuse are held fully accountable for their crimes.”

Rodriguez-Marroquin illegally entered the United States in 2024 and was released by the Biden Administration, according to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

DHS frequently calls out California’s sanctuary politicians for protection illegal immigrants, not honoring immigration detainers and allowing those arrested or convicted of crimes to bond out of jail.

“This monster would not have been in our country in the first place if it weren’t for the Biden administration’s disastrous open borders that released him into our country,” said DHS Acting Assistant Secretary Lauren Bis. “Thanks to our ICE law enforcement officers, this creep is behind bars, and after he serves his time, he will be removed from our country.”

Investigators did not release additional details but said Rodriguez-Marroquin is also being investigated for child exploitation in Guatemala. The case is being led by HSI with assistance from Los Angeles Police Department and the Los Angeles Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, HSI Los Angeles shared on X.
