Charlie Jarquin-Asnavin, a citizen of Nicaragua, was arrested by ERO New Orleans following a pattern of serious and violent criminal behavior. Jarquin-Asnavin entered the United States illegally and built a criminal history involving a wide range of dangerous offenses. He was also arrested for battery, domestic abuse, and refusing to identify himself to officers, all while maintaining fugitive status. Jarquin-Asnavin was additionally charged with reckless operation of a vehicle, damage to property, and other public safety threats.
Given the scope and severity of his criminal history, ICE officers took him into custody to ensure he could be removed from the country. Jarquin-Asnavin is currently being held pending immigration proceedings. His case represents one of the more egregious patterns of criminal conduct encountered by ICE’s enforcement teams this year.
