Immigration agents continue to track down violent gang members, arresting more than 100 known or suspected gang members in less than a week, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security reported.
The illegal gangbangers belong to violent groups such as MS-13 and Tren de Aragua, which the Trump administration designated as foreign terrorist organizations in February 2025.
The group includes individuals wanted for murder in their home country as well as violent crimes in the United States.
In total, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement arrested 131 gang-affiliated individuals from Oct. 4-10 and announced additional arrests last week. Among those arrested were 22 affiliates of MS-13 and 13 affiliates of TdA.
“The best that America has to offer are on the frontlines every day to ensure that the worst of humanity cannot threaten or harm innocent Americans,” DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin said. “Arresting and deporting illegal aliens, especially gang members, is how we make America safe again.”
Many gang members entered the United States illegally during the Biden administration’s open border crisis, and President Donald Trump made deporting them a key campaign promise leading up to his reelection in 2024.
Since President Donald Trump’s return to office on Jan. 20, 2025, ICE has made 12,018 gang-related administrative arrests, DHS said. This includes 1,965 MS-13 affiliates and 1,553 TDA affiliates.
Mullin added that under Trump, “we are smashing the gangs and cartels, making it impossible for them to do business in America.”
DHS released the names of a few gang members caught by ICE, including Gustavo Adolfo Flores-Ramirez, a Salvadoran national and MS-13 member. He was arrested Oct. 14 by ICE ERO in Las Vegas.
Flores-Ramirez first illegally entered the United States at an unknown date and location, and was arrested by the U.S. Border Patrol in September 2021 and deported to Mexico.
He then illegally reentered the country, which is a felony, at an unknown date and location.
Flores-Ramirez is wanted in his home country for aggravated homicide, aggravated femicide, rape of a minor or incapacitated person, illegal or irresponsible handling, carrying, or possession of firearms, illicit grouping, and crimes involving public peace, DHS said.
ICE Miami and ERO Tallahassee caught up with Jose Luis Perez-Arrias, a Venezuelan citizen and TdA member, and arrested him Oct. 14 in Tallahassee, Florida.
DHS said Perez-Arrias is a suspected hitman for TDA. He illegally entered the United States through Texas in October 2023 and was arrested by the U.S. Border Patrol. He was among millions of migrants released into the country by the Biden Administration.
On the east coast, Salvadoran Emerson Jossiel Calderon-Hernandez, also a MS-13 member, was arrested Oct. 13 by ICE Washington D.C., DHS said.
His rap sheet includes a conviction for second-degree assault and arrests for attempted first-degree murder, attempted second-degree murder, armed robbery, first-degree assault, reckless endangerment and false imprisonment.
Calderon-Hernandez illegally entered the United States through Texas in August 2012. He was arrested by Border Patrol but released into the country by the Obama administration.
In Denver, Colorado, federal agents from Homeland Security Investigations and ICE ERO arrested a 14-year-old Venezuelan migrant wanted for first-degree murder — criminal attempt with extreme indifference.
The unnamed minor has tied to the Los Piratas Gang, a faction of Tren de Aragua, and was illegally carrying a Glock 48 pistol when he was arrested, DHS said.
The suspect is also facing charges of first-degree assault with extreme indifference, first-degree kidnapping, aggravated criminal extortion, illegal discharge of a weapon and conspiracy.
