Ramon Jimenez-Moreno/Mexico/Aggravated Sexual Battery
ICE New Orleans, working in close partnership with Homeland Security Investigations, the U.S. Marshals Service, and Customs and Border Protection, arrested Ramon Jimenez-Moreno, a citizen of Mexico and an illegal alien residing in the United States. Jimenez-Moreno, 46, was taken into custody during a coordinated enforcement operation aimed at apprehending high-risk individuals with violent criminal histories, particularly those involving sexual offenses.
Jimenez-Moreno’s criminal history includes a conviction for aggravated sexual battery, a serious offense involving the use or threat of force to commit sexual acts against a victim. Court documents indicate that his case involved a violent and non-consensual assault, underscoring the severity of his criminal conduct and his continued threat to public safety. Such offenses often carry lifelong consequences for victims and justify heightened law enforcement attention.
Following his release from state custody, Jimenez-Moreno was legally required to register as a sex offender, a measure designed to protect communities and inform the public of potential threats. However, he has been charged with failure to comply with this crucial legal obligation, further demonstrating his disregard for the law and increasing the risks he poses to the community.
In addition to these charges, Jimenez-Moreno has been charged with illegal reentry of a removed alien, having previously been deported from the United States and unlawfully returned without inspection or parole. ICE officers apprehended him without incident, verified his identity and criminal background, and placed him into removal proceedings. He remains in ICE custody, where his serious sexual offense and immigration violations will be central factors in determining the outcome of his deportation case.
