Jorge Fuentes-Aguirre, a 61-year-old criminal alien and citizen of Mexico, was arrested by ICE Harlingen officers as part of targeted enforcement efforts focusing on repeat offenders and gang members who pose a risk to public safety. Fuentes, confirmed to be a member of the Paisas gang, has an extensive criminal record reflecting a pattern of both violent and drug-related offenses, as well as repeated violations of U.S. immigration laws.

Fuentes’s criminal history includes a conviction for possession with intent to distribute marijuana, a significant drug offense indicating involvement in narcotics trafficking operations. He also has a conviction for robbery, a violent felony that further underscores his threat to community safety. Beyond these serious crimes, Fuentes has been arrested for driving under the influence, adding dangerous conduct on public roads to his record.

In addition to his criminal charges, Fuentes has repeatedly violated U.S. immigration laws. He was apprehended for illegal entry into the United States and has been deported and subsequently reentered the country unlawfully on at least three separate occasions. Such repeated illegal reentries after deportation constitute federal crimes and reflect his persistent disregard for U.S. laws and border security.

At the time of his arrest, Fuentes was taken into ICE custody without incident and is now facing removal proceedings. Given his violent background, gang affiliation, and multiple deportations, ICE has prioritized his case to ensure he does not continue posing a threat to communities across Texas and beyond.
