Juan Baltazar
Juan Baltazar/Guatemala/Sexual Exploitation of a Minor
ICE New Orleans deported Juan Baltazar, a citizen and national of Guatemala, on July 11, 2025, following his removal from the United States based on a conviction for a serious offense involving a minor. According to ICE records, Baltazar was convicted of sexual exploitation of a minor, a felony offense that typically involves the use, inducement, or coercion of a child to engage in sexually explicit conduct for the purpose of producing visual depictions or for other exploitative purposes. As a result of this conviction, Baltazar was sentenced to four years in prison.
Sexual exploitation of a minor is classified as an aggravated felony under U.S. immigration law and carries severe legal consequences. Convictions for offenses of this nature result in mandatory detention and removal proceedings for noncitizens and permanent bars to reentry into the United States. These crimes are considered among the most serious under federal and state criminal codes due to the lasting harm inflicted on vulnerable victims.
ICE has not released further details regarding the location of Baltazar’s conviction, the circumstances of the offense, or whether he had additional criminal history. After completing his prison sentence, Baltazar was transferred to ICE custody and subsequently deported to Guatemala in accordance with federal removal procedures.
