Guillermo Geronimo-Ramirez/Mexico/Criminal Mischief, Burglary of Habitation
On July 15, 2025, ICE Harlingen arrested and deported Guillermo Geronimo-Ramirez, a 24-year-old citizen and national of Mexico, following his recent arrest on multiple state-level criminal charges. Geronimo-Ramirez had been residing in the United States unlawfully and was taken into ICE custody shortly after being apprehended by local authorities for a series of offenses. According to ICE records, his charges included burglary of a habitation, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, criminal mischief, theft, and possession of a controlled substance.
Burglary of a habitation is classified as a felony in most jurisdictions and involves unlawfully entering a residence with the intent to commit theft or another crime. It is considered a serious offense, especially when coupled with additional criminal conduct. Unauthorized use of a vehicle and theft further illustrate Geronimo-Ramirez’s disregard for property rights and criminal law. Criminal mischief typically involves intentional damage to property and adds to the overall severity of the case.
He was also charged with possession of a controlled substance, a drug offense that can lead to enhanced penalties and contributes to removability under federal immigration law. ICE prioritized his case based on the pattern of repeated criminal activity and his unlawful presence in the country.
After being processed by ICE and reviewed under a final order of removal, Geronimo-Ramirez was deported to Mexico on the same day as his arrest. He is now permanently inadmissible to the United States under current immigration law due to the nature and number of his offenses.
