Ariochy Moran/Cuba/Child Molestation

by G. George | July 21, 2025

On July 16, 2025, ICE Miami, in coordination with Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), arrested Ariochy Moran, a 52-year-old citizen and national of Cuba, following his identification as a criminal illegal alien with a final order of removal. According to ICE records, Moran was previously convicted of attempted lewd and lascivious molestation of a child under the age of 12 by an adult—an offense classified as an aggravated felony under U.S. immigration law.

The conviction involves an attempted act of sexual molestation targeting a young child, and it carries severe criminal penalties. Under immigration law, crimes of this nature are among the most serious and result in mandatory detention and permanent removal from the United States. Due to the victim’s age and the nature of the offense, Moran is barred from nearly all forms of immigration relief and remains subject to deportation under a finalized removal order.

In addition to his criminal conduct, Moran is unlawfully present in the United States. Although the specific date of his illegal entry has not been disclosed, ICE confirmed that he had no lawful status and had previously undergone removal proceedings. A final order of removal had been issued by an immigration judge prior to his arrest.

Following his apprehension by ICE and HSI officers, Moran was taken into ICE custody without incident. He will remain detained in Florida while awaiting deportation to Cuba. No additional arrests or charges have been reported at this time.
