Miguel Gaspar

Miguel Gaspar/Mexico/DUI, Battery, Resisting Arrest, Public Endangerment

by G. George | July 24, 2025

On July 16, 2025, ICE San Diego arrested Miguel Gaspar, a 48-year-old citizen and national of Mexico, after identifying him as an illegal alien with a lengthy record of criminal offenses involving public endangerment. Gaspar has multiple convictions for driving under the influence, as well as charges for battery and resisting arrest. He is currently in ICE custody awaiting removal proceedings.

Gaspar’s repeated DUI offenses pose a significant threat to public safety and demonstrate a pattern of reckless behavior. Combined with battery and resisting arrest, his criminal history reflects a consistent disregard for both public welfare and law enforcement authority. Under U.S. immigration law, these convictions contribute to his removability and trigger mandatory detention.

ICE has not disclosed how long Gaspar has been unlawfully present in the country or the exact number of convictions, but the documented pattern of criminal conduct led to targeted enforcement action. He was taken into custody without incident and will remain detained pending a hearing before an immigration judge.

Due to the seriousness and frequency of his offenses, Gaspar is expected to be found ineligible for immigration relief and ordered removed from the United States.
