Sergio Martinez-Orellana/Honduras/Sexual Abuse of a Minor

On July 12, 2025, ICE Baltimore arrested Sergio Martinez-Orellana, a 44-year-old citizen of Honduras, who was previously removed from the United States. Martinez-Orellana has a criminal conviction for sexual abuse of a minor. Following his arrest, ICE served him with a notice of intent to reinstate a prior order of removal. He remains in ICE custody pending deportation.

The conviction for sexual abuse of a minor is considered an aggravated felony under U.S. immigration law. Such offenses are grounds for mandatory detention and render an individual ineligible for nearly all forms of immigration relief. These crimes are treated as among the most serious and result in automatic enforcement action by ICE upon identification.
