Flavio Valenzuela/Mexico/Passport Fraud, Illegal Reentry
In July 2025, ICE San Francisco arrested Flavio Valenzuela, an illegal alien from Mexico, in Sacramento, California. Valenzuela has a federal conviction for attempting to enter the United States using another person’s passport, a serious form of identity fraud and a violation of federal immigration law. In addition, he has a prior conviction for illegal reentry following deportation—further compounding his immigration violations.
The arrest was carried out by Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) officers who identified Valenzuela as a repeat immigration offender. Using false identification to cross an international border not only violates U.S. law but also raises national security concerns due to the deceptive nature of the act. These charges make Valenzuela a high priority for removal.
ICE has confirmed that Valenzuela will remain in agency custody while his removal proceedings move forward. His history of fraudulent entry and previous deportation significantly limits any avenues for legal relief, and he is expected to be deported upon conclusion of his immigration case.
Valenzuela’s case highlights the risks posed by repeat offenders who use fraudulent means to evade U.S. immigration law. ICE will continue to pursue and detain such individuals to uphold the integrity of the immigration system.
