Huri Valenzuela

Huri Valenzuela/Mexico/Copyright Infringement

by G. George | August 01, 2025

In July 2025, ICE San Francisco arrested Huri Valenzuela, an illegal alien from Mexico, in Sacramento, California. Valenzuela had previously been issued a final order of removal in February 2017 but failed to depart the United States as required by law. His defiance of that order led to renewed enforcement action and his current detention.

Valenzuela also has a criminal conviction for copyright infringement, a federal offense involving the unauthorized reproduction or distribution of protected intellectual property. While not a violent crime, copyright violations are serious and often tied to larger operations involving illicit profits, counterfeit goods, or fraud.

Because of his previous removal order and ongoing illegal presence in the United States, Valenzuela was taken into ICE custody without incident. Under federal immigration law, failure to comply with a final order of removal, combined with a criminal conviction, results in mandatory detention and rapid reinstatement of removal proceedings.

ICE confirmed that Valenzuela will remain in custody pending his deportation to Mexico. His conviction and disregard for the 2017 removal order disqualify him from most avenues of immigration relief. His case will now move quickly through the administrative process toward final removal.
