On July 2025, ICE New Orleans arrested Maynor Aguilar Medrano, a citizen of Honduras who is illegally present in the United States. Medrano’s criminal history includes convictions for domestic assault causing bodily harm, strangulation, criminal contempt of court, and harassment—each indicating a pattern of violence, intimidation, and disregard for legal authority.

Medrano was originally taken into custody following his arrest for a domestic assault in which he inflicted physical injury. In a separate case, he was convicted of strangulation—an offense widely recognized as an indicator of escalating domestic violence. His record also includes a conviction for criminal contempt of court, showing he knowingly violated a court-issued order, and harassment, reinforcing his ongoing history of threatening behavior toward others.
