by G. George | July 25, 2025

On July 2025, ICE New Orleans officers arrested Niceforo Ruiz-Najera, a 43-year-old citizen of Mexico and illegal alien, following his conviction for a heinous offense involving a young child. Ruiz-Najera was convicted of facilitation of aggravated sexual battery of a 4-year-old child and sentenced to five years in prison. After serving time for this conviction, ICE took him into custody to initiate his removal from the United States.

Ruiz-Najera’s offense represents one of the most serious crimes involving exploitation and harm to minors. His case was handled in Tennessee, where the court found sufficient evidence to convict him of participating in an act of sexual violence against a defenseless child. In addition to this conviction, authorities also noted that Ruiz-Najera had no legal right to remain in the country, having entered and remained in the United States unlawfully.

ICE officers arrested Ruiz-Najera as part of targeted enforcement efforts in the New Orleans area, focusing on illegal aliens with serious criminal records. He is currently being held in ICE custody pending removal proceedings. He will not be released back into the community.
