ICE San Diego arrested Rigoberto Sanchez, a 26-year-old citizen of El Salvador, who has an extensive criminal record and gang affiliation. Sanchez is a documented member of the violent Maravilla-Salvatrucha gang and has a known history of criminal activity spanning multiple charges. His convictions include grand theft, vehicle theft, and unlawful firearm possession—each of which highlights his ongoing threat to public safety.

Sanchez had previously come into contact with law enforcement agencies across California, and ICE agents began monitoring his case after his most recent arrest. His gang ties and record of theft and weapons offenses triggered a targeted enforcement operation.
