X Mario Velasquez-Velasquez/Mexico/Sexual Battery, Drug Possession

Mario Velasquez-Velasquez, a 48-year-old citizen of Mexico, was arrested by ICE officers with Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) Los Angeles on July 27. Velasquez-Velasquez has an established criminal history in the United States that includes convictions for sexual battery and possession of a controlled substance. His offenses led ICE to initiate immigration enforcement action against him due to both his illegal status and the severity of his crimes.

According to court and law enforcement records, Velasquez-Velasquez was convicted of sexual battery after an incident involving unlawful physical contact with a victim. In a separate case, he was also found guilty of drug possession involving a controlled substance. Both convictions occurred in California and contributed to ICE classifying him as a priority for enforcement and removal.

Following his July 27 arrest, Velasquez-Velasquez was taken into ICE custody without incident.
