ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) New Orleans arrested Alfredo Olmos-Barrera, a 40-year-old citizen of Mexico, during a targeted enforcement action due to his repeated criminal activity and unlawful presence in the United States. Olmos-Barrera has a lengthy criminal history spanning multiple charges and convictions across state and federal jurisdictions.

His criminal record includes three separate convictions for driving under the influence (DUI), each representing a risk to public safety. In addition to the DUIs, Olmos-Barrera has also been convicted three times for forgery and once for fraud involving impersonation. These convictions suggest deliberate attempts to deceive public institutions and evade accountability. Authorities also confirmed that Olmos-Barrera re-entered the United States illegally after a prior removal, further violating immigration laws.

ICE officers took him into custody without incident, and he is now being held in immigration detention pending the outcome of his removal proceedings. Due to the severity and repeated nature of his offenses, Olmos-Barrera was designated a high priority for enforcement action. He has been issued a notice to appear before an immigration judge and is expected to remain in custody throughout the duration of the proceedings.
