ICE New Orleans arrested Timoteo Vergara, a citizen of Mexico and illegal alien with a serious and varied criminal record. Vergara has been convicted of multiple offenses spanning financial crimes, violent conduct, and disregard for law enforcement.

His criminal history includes convictions for identity theft and fraud, both of which involve the deliberate deception and exploitation of others for financial gain. In addition to those offenses, Vergara has a conviction for domestic violence, revealing a pattern of violent behavior. He has also been convicted of driving under the influence (DUI), posing a danger to public safety, and has further demonstrated contempt for authority through convictions for resisting an officer and disorderly conduct.

ICE officers took Vergara into custody in New Orleans, where he was found to be unlawfully present in the United States. Following his arrest, ICE placed him in detention pending the outcome of his immigration removal proceedings. Given the scope and seriousness of his criminal record—spanning identity crimes, violence, and public endangerment—Vergara has been prioritized for removal.

He will remain in ICE custody throughout the remainder of his case and is expected to be deported upon the completion of proceedings.
