Officers with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Boston arrested Antony Araujo, a criminal alien from Brazil, on December 19. The arrest was executed as part of an ongoing enforcement operation focused on removing dangerous criminals from the community. Araujo’s criminal record includes convictions for rape of a child, indecent assault and battery on a child under 14, and possession of child pornography.

An ICE spokesman stated, “Our officers remain dedicated to apprehending those who violate our laws and threaten public safety.” Authorities noted that individuals with violent criminal histories are high-priority targets for removal. Araujo is currently detained in federal custody while awaiting the outcome of his immigration proceedings. This case underscores the agency’s commitment to identifying and deporting noncitizens who have been convicted of serious offenses in the United States.
