Abdirisiq Hassan Mohamed, 43, a criminal illegal alien from Somalia, was taken into custody during a recent immigration enforcement operation in Columbus, Ohio. Mohamed has prior convictions for two counts of felony drug possession, criminal trespassing, theft of services, and disorderly conduct. His criminal history also includes arrests and charges for drug trafficking, terrorizing, and refusing to submit to arrest.

According to ICE officials, Mohamed was among ten individuals apprehended as part of Operation Buckeye, which the agency launched on December 16. However, an investigation by ABC6 found no record of the drug possession convictions in Franklin County court records, with only a traffic citation located. The federal government has not provided the names of the courts or agencies involved in the prior cases.

“He was located without incident and transported for processing,” an ICE spokesman said. Mohamed remains in federal detention pending review of his immigration case.
