by G. George | March 21, 2026

ICE Buffalo officers arrested Waheed Allah Mohammad, a criminal illegal alien from Afghanistan, in Rochester, New York, on Jan. 1 after his 2009 conviction for attempting to murder his teenage sister. According to court and agency records, Mohammad stabbed his 19-year-old sister numerous times in 2008 after calling her a “bad Muslim girl” and accusing her of disgracing the family by dressing immodestly and going to dance clubs.

On Feb. 6, 2009, a New York state court convicted Mohammad of first-degree attempted murder and first-degree assault, sentencing him to 10 years in prison and five years of post-release supervision. ICE initiated removal proceedings in 2009, and an immigration judge ordered him deported on May 31, 2012; he now remains in ICE custody pending his removal from the United States.
