Moises Guizar Alvarado/Mexico/First-Degree Child Rape, Child Sex Offense In Parental Role
ICE officers in Wilmington, North Carolina, arrested Moises Guizar Alvarado, a criminal illegal alien from Mexico, on Jan. 2 after he completed a lengthy prison sentence for multiple child sex crimes. A Henderson County Superior Court judge convicted Guizar in 2010 of first-degree rape of a child, eight counts of committing sex offenses in a parental role, seven counts of first-degree sex offenses with a child and seven counts of taking indecent liberties with a child.
He was sentenced to up to 20 years and nine months in prison and served about 15 years and six months before his transfer to ICE custody.
According to federal summaries, Guizar entered the United States illegally around 1998 and was first encountered by authorities after his 2009 arrest for sexually assaulting a child in Hendersonville, North Carolina. His aggravated felony convictions make him removable from the United States, and he is now being held by ICE pending removal proceedings to return him to Mexico.
