Sahal Osman Shidane/Somalia/Criminal Sexual Conduct With Minor

Minneapolis authorities have identified Sahal Osman Shidane as a criminal illegal alien from Somalia with a prior conviction for sexually abusing a minor between 13 and 15 years old. Court records show he was found guilty of fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct under Minnesota law, a felony offense involving sexual contact with a child in that age range.

Shidane’s case resurfaced publicly after federal officers in Minneapolis targeted offenders with serious criminal histories during a recent enforcement operation. Officials said his conviction for criminal sexual conduct with a victim 13 to 15 years old was a key factor in prioritizing him for arrest, given the risk posed to vulnerable minors.

He was taken into custody in Minneapolis and is currently being held while immigration authorities pursue removal proceedings based on his felony child sex offense.
