Cuban national Francisco Jorge-Salgado was arrested by federal immigration authorities in Minneapolis during Operation Metro Surge. Jorge-Salgado was previously convicted of sale of amphetamines, domestic violence, possession of dangerous drugs, cocaine possession, possession of a weapon, probation violation, and assault.

The Department of Homeland Security included Jorge-Salgado on its official “Worst of the Worst” public database showcasing immigrants with criminal records arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement. According to federal officials, the Cuban national faces multiple serious charges spanning drug trafficking and violent offenses. Jorge-Salgado’s arrest was highlighted as part of the broader Operation Metro Surge initiative targeting criminal illegal aliens with extensive criminal histories in the Minneapolis area.
