Rafael Martinez De Escobar Hernandez
Rafael Martinez De Escobar Hernandez/Mexico/Cocaine Distribution
Mexican national Rafael Martinez De Escobar Hernandez, a criminal illegal alien, was taken into custody in Rochester, Minnesota, after authorities linked him to a recent federal illegal reentry case and a prior cocaine distribution offense handled in the upper Midwest. Court records show that Martinez De Escobar Hernandez, 39, had been deported in 2019 following a controlled-substance conviction in Texas, but later reentered the United States and was subsequently arrested in 2024 for a cocaine-related controlled-substance violation in Buena Vista County, Iowa.
He pled guilty in December 2024 to one count of illegal reentry in the Northern District of Iowa and was sentenced in April 2025 to 20 months in federal prison, followed by three years of supervised release, for returning to the country after multiple prior removals. Following his more recent arrest in Rochester, he was again placed into federal custody, where immigration authorities are coordinating his case in light of his repeated returns and his record involving cocaine distribution and other controlled-substance violations.
