ICE arrests ‘worst of the worst’ criminal illegal aliens convicted of child abuse, sex crimes, violent assault

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement announced the arrest of five criminal illegal aliens convicted of serious offenses, including injury to a child, sexual conduct involving minors, strangulation, and other violent crimes. Federal officials said the arrests were carried out across multiple states as part of ongoing enforcement operations targeting individuals with documented criminal convictions.

According to the Department of Homeland Security, the enforcement actions were conducted nationwide and focused on offenders with prior felony convictions and histories involving violence or crimes against children. Officials said the arrests reflect continued efforts to identify and remove individuals convicted of public safety offenses rather than non-criminal immigration violations.

Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said ICE officers continued enforcement actions even as Americans observed Presidents’ Day. “While Americans celebrated Presidents’ Day, the heroic men and women of ICE law enforcement arrested more convicted criminals from our communities,” McLaughlin said.

McLaughlin noted that nearly 70% of ICE arrests nationwide involve illegal aliens charged with or convicted of crimes in the United States. DHS officials said that figure does not include foreign fugitives, gang members, or individuals subject to removal for national security reasons who may not have prior U.S. criminal records.

“Yesterday, ICE arrested child abusers, killers, and sex offenders,” McLaughlin said, adding that enforcement operations remain focused on individuals with violent criminal histories. Federal officials said ICE officers continue to conduct arrests across jurisdictions as part of a sustained public safety effort.

The cases announced span jurisdictions in Texas, New York, Connecticut, Virginia, and California, underscoring the nationwide scope of the enforcement activity.

Below are five of the most serious offenders taken into custody:

Miguel De La Cruz-Hernandez – Mexico

ICE officials said the arrests reflect continued nationwide efforts to identify and remove criminal illegal aliens convicted of serious offenses, noting that enforcement operations remain focused on individuals with documented violent and sexual crime convictions.
