Illegal charged for raping woman on Easter Sunday in Missouri

An illegal immigrant has been charged with kidnapping and raping a Missouri woman on Easter Sunday.

Cristian Lopez-Gomez, originally from Honduras, illegally entered the U.S. in 2024 during the Biden administration, according to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

Lopez-Gomez, 25, is facing charges of first-degree rape and second-degree kidnapping, KTVO reported, after her allegedly retrained the victim and forced her to have sex with him.

Lopez-Gomez is currently being held in the Adair County jail. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement also has a detainer request for Lopez-Gomez so he’s not released back into the public.

“This animal kidnapped and raped a woman in Missouri on Easter Sunday,” DHS Acting Assistant Secretary Lauren Bis said in a statement. “This sexual predator was RELEASED into our country by the Biden administration in 2024.”

Bis added that Missouri law enforcement typically works with ICE on detainers.

“ICE lodged an arrest detainer requesting Missouri not release this monster back into our communities to rape and assault more innocent women,” she said. “Thankfully, Missouri cooperates with ICE law enforcement. When state and local law enforcement work with ICE, we can safely remove criminal illegal aliens from our country and put the safety of American citizens first.”
