U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement arrested Olugbeminiyi Aderibigbe, a criminal illegal alien from Nigeria, in Marietta, Georgia, on charges of wire fraud.

Wire fraud is a serious federal offense involving the use of electronic communications to carry out a scheme to defraud others of money or property. Federal wire fraud charges carry prison sentences of up to 20 years per count, with higher penalties when the fraud targets financial institutions. Criminal illegal aliens convicted of federal fraud offenses are subject to both criminal prosecution and removal proceedings.

ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations officers apprehended Aderibigbe in Marietta. He currently remains in federal immigration custody and faces removal proceedings before a Department of Justice immigration judge, with potential deportation back to Nigeria.
