by G. George | May 01, 2026

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement arrested Joaquin Soriano Segura, a criminal illegal alien from El Salvador, in Darien, Georgia, on charges of hit and run and negligent vehicular homicide.

Soriano Segura faces two serious criminal charges. Negligent vehicular homicide involves causing the death of another person through criminally negligent operation of a vehicle — a felony under Georgia law carrying significant mandatory prison time. Hit and run reflects a failure to stop and render aid following the fatal accident. Together, these charges represent a catastrophic failure of responsibility that resulted in the loss of a human life.

ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations officers apprehended Soriano Segura in Darien. He currently remains in federal immigration custody and faces removal proceedings before a Department of Justice immigration judge, with potential deportation back to El Salvador.
