Abdiel De La Cruz, a 35-year-old citizen of Mexico and an illegal alien in the United States, was arrested by Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) New Orleans. De La Cruz has a disturbing and violent criminal record that includes multiple sexual offenses, substance violations, and assaults.

According to court records, De La Cruz has been convicted of two counts of statutory rape involving underage victims. In both cases, the assaults involved victims under the legal age of consent, and he was prosecuted under state laws for sexual offenses against minors. Additionally, he has two separate convictions for sexual battery, involving unwanted physical contact of a sexual nature. These cases reveal a pattern of predatory behavior targeting vulnerable individuals.

Beyond his sex crime convictions, De La Cruz has been arrested for assault in a separate incident involving physical violence during a domestic altercation. He was charged and later convicted for that offense.

De La Cruz also has a history of substance abuse-related charges, including two DUI convictions, one of which resulted in a car accident with reported injuries. He has also been convicted of possession of cocaine, further indicating his repeated engagement in criminal activity.

De La Cruz entered the United States illegally and has no lawful status to remain in the country. Following his arrest, ICE placed him in custody pending removal proceedings. He is currently detained and will remain in ICE custody throughout the course of his immigration case.
