Adolfo Lopez-Perez, a 41-year-old citizen of Guatemala, was arrested in Nampa, Idaho, by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers from the Salt Lake City Field Office. Lopez-Perez is unlawfully present in the United States and has a prior removal on record. His arrest followed an enforcement operation targeting noncitizens with prior deportations and serious criminal histories.

According to ICE officials, Lopez-Perez has a felony conviction for forgery, a charge that led to significant legal consequences at the local level. Following his conviction, he was previously removed from the U.S., but later re-entered without inspection or legal authorization. ICE identified him as a priority target due to his past criminal conduct and immigration violations.

Agents arrested Lopez-Perez without incident. After confirming his prior removal and felony record, officers initiated new removal proceedings. He is currently in ICE custody and will remain detained while officials coordinate his removal from the United States back to Guatemala.

ICE has confirmed that Lopez-Perez is not eligible for bond due to his prior removal and felony conviction. He will be processed in accordance with federal immigration law and returned to his country of origin as soon as arrangements are completed.
