Agustin Plancarte-Nunez
Agustin Plancarte-Nunez/Mexico/Drug Trafficking
Mexican national Agustin Plancarte-Nunez, a previously removed criminal illegal alien, was taken into custody in Sandstone, Minnesota, after authorities identified his prior conviction for selling amphetamines and his illegal return to the United States. Records show he earlier pled guilty in federal court to an amphetamine trafficking offense, a conviction that later formed the basis for his federal illegal reentry charge after he came back to the country without authorization.
Following his controlled-substance conviction and removal order, Plancarte-Nunez reentered the U.S., triggering a new federal case for illegal reentry, a serious felony that targets noncitizens who come back after deportation tied to drug trafficking and other aggravated crimes. His recent arrest in Sandstone places him again in federal custody, where he faces both immigration proceedings and potential additional prison time before any future removal from the United States.
