On February 5, 2025, ICE officers in Dallas arrested Alami El Mansouri, a citizen of Morocco, following his release from a Texas state prison. El Mansouri had served a 20-year sentence after being convicted of multiple felony offenses, including kidnapping, assault, burglary, and possession of a weapon.

He had previously entered the United States unlawfully and was identified for removal due to his criminal background. ICE officers took him into custody upon his release to begin removal proceedings. He is currently held in ICE detention pending further immigration hearings.

El Mansouri’s criminal record includes a violent kidnapping incident that led to the discovery of additional charges involving unlawful entry into a residence, physical assault, and unlawful possession of a firearm. He had been arrested in 2005 and prosecuted in state court, where he received a combined sentence of two decades. His release in early 2025 prompted ICE to file a detainer and take him into custody without delay.

In a similar case, ICE Dallas officers arrested Anthony Fabian Marin La Torre, a 42-year-old Venezuelan national, on May 2, 2025. Marin La Torre was wanted in Venezuela for homicide and had entered the U.S. illegally in 2022. He was located and arrested in Grapevine, Texas, and remains in ICE custody.
