by G. George | June 14, 2025

Alejandro Hernandez-Juarez, a 27-year-old illegal alien from Mexico, was arrested by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers assigned to ERO St. Paul. Hernandez-Juarez has a prior felony conviction for theft and has also been previously removed from the United States. Following his unlawful reentry into the country, he became a subject of immigration enforcement once again.

His arrest was the result of targeted operations focusing on repeat immigration violators and those with serious criminal records. Hernandez-Juarez was taken into custody without incident and transported to a secure ICE detention facility, where he will remain while his removal proceedings are carried out. ICE officials confirmed that Hernandez-Juarez had not only been deported before but also entered the U.S. again illegally, triggering additional legal consequences under federal immigration law.

Due to the felony theft conviction and his history of immigration violations, Hernandez-Juarez was deemed a priority for enforcement and placed into expedited removal protocols. His case highlights the continued efforts of ICE to identify, detain, and remove criminal aliens who have disregarded U.S. law and reentered the country after being formally deported. He is currently in ICE custody pending adjudication by an immigration judge.
