Alfonso Robinson/Columbia/Homicide, Unlawful Possession of Firearms
Alfonso Robinson, a 52-year-old citizen of Colombia and an illegal alien in the United States, was deported by ICE New Orleans following multiple serious criminal convictions. Robinson’s criminal history includes a conviction for homicide and a separate conviction for unlawful possession of firearms. His violent record led to his designation as a priority for removal under U.S. immigration enforcement guidelines.
Robinson entered the United States unlawfully on an unknown date and later came to the attention of law enforcement following his arrest and prosecution for homicide. He was convicted and served a sentence in a U.S. correctional facility. After completing his time in custody, he was transferred directly to ICE for immigration enforcement. Further review confirmed he had no legal status and was subject to removal due to his aggravated felony convictions.
An immigration judge issued a final order of removal against Robinson, and once travel documents were secured, ICE carried out the deportation. He was flown to Colombia under ICE escort and handed over to Colombian authorities upon arrival.
Because of the severity of his crimes, Robinson is permanently inadmissible to the United States.
