Allan Suazo/Honduras/Assault

by G. George | June 18, 2025

Allan Suazo, a 45-year-old citizen of Honduras, was deported by Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) New Orleans following the completion of a lengthy prison sentence for a violent offense committed in the United States. Suazo was convicted of assault and sentenced to 10 years in state prison. His case was identified by ICE officers due to the severity of the crime and his illegal presence in the country.

Upon completing his prison term, Suazo was immediately transferred into ICE custody to initiate removal proceedings. He had no legal immigration status or pending relief claims, and officials confirmed that he had unlawfully entered the United States. His deportation was prioritized based on the violent nature of his conviction, which meets the threshold for an aggravated felony under federal immigration law.

ERO New Orleans coordinated with Honduran authorities to complete Suazo’s deportation. On the date of removal, he was escorted via secure transport to Honduras and turned over to officials from the government of Honduras upon arrival. No known outstanding charges were reported in his home country at the time of removal.

Suazo’s deportation is part of ongoing efforts by ICE to identify and remove individuals convicted of serious criminal offenses who are in the United States illegally.
