Alonso Luna-Bustos/Mexico/DUI

On April 19, 2025, ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) Denver arrested Alonso Luna-Bustos, a Mexican national unlawfully present in the United States. Luna-Bustos was taken into custody following a targeted enforcement action after officials confirmed his prior convictions and lack of lawful immigration status.

Luna-Bustos has a criminal history that includes convictions for driving under the influence (DUI) and reckless driving. These offenses, although non-violent, contributed to his identification as a removable alien under U.S. immigration law. ICE officers located Luna-Bustos in Colorado and conducted the arrest without incident. He was processed and transferred to a secure detention facility pending immigration proceedings.
