Andres Cruz Reyes, a Mexico national living in the country illegally, was taken into custody by ICE agents in Oxford, Wisconsin, on charges of unlawful reentry, alien smuggling.

Unlawful reentry after a prior deportation is a federal felony — significantly more serious than the misdemeanor of initial illegal entry.
