Andres David Ramirez
Andres David Ramirez/Guatemala/Rape
Andres David Ramirez, a 41-year-old citizen of Guatemala, was deported by Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) New Orleans after being identified as a foreign fugitive wanted in his home country. Ramirez is the subject of an active warrant issued by Guatemalan authorities for multiple violent crimes, including aggravated rape, gender-based violence, and the unlawful inducement of a minor to leave their parents’ home.
Ramirez entered the United States illegally at an unknown date and location and remained unlawfully present. After Interpol issued a Red Notice on behalf of Guatemala, U.S. authorities located Ramirez and initiated immigration enforcement proceedings. ERO officers took him into custody and confirmed his identity and fugitive status through coordination with international and federal law enforcement partners.
Due to the severity of the charges against him—particularly aggravated rape and crimes involving minors—Ramirez was designated a removal priority. ERO New Orleans secured a final order of removal, and Ramirez was deported to Guatemala on a designated flight under ICE supervision. He was transferred directly to the custody of Guatemalan law enforcement officials upon arrival.
Ramirez’s deportation marks the conclusion of a coordinated effort to return a high-profile fugitive to face justice in his country of origin.
