ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) Denver arrested Anner Josue Izquierdo-Rodriguez, a 43-year-old Guatemalan national who is unlawfully present in the United States. Izquierdo-Rodriguez has a disturbing pattern of violence, with six prior criminal arrests related to assault and domestic violence, according to public records and arrest reports.

The arrest took place as part of ERO Denver’s ongoing efforts to identify and detain noncitizens with serious criminal histories. Izquierdo-Rodriguez’s repeated arrests stem from multiple jurisdictions and span several years, involving allegations of physical harm against intimate partners and household members. While not all six incidents resulted in convictions, the consistency and volume of domestic violence charges flagged him as a priority for enforcement.

Due to the extent of his criminal history, Izquierdo-Rodriguez has been deemed a threat to community safety and is currently being held in ICE custody. He will remain detained while removal proceedings are underway. Immigration officials have confirmed that he has no legal status or pending applications that would allow him to remain in the country.

An immigration judge will now evaluate his case, and given the pattern of domestic violence-related arrests, ICE has recommended continued detention until removal is completed.
