ICE Atlanta officers arrested 22-year-old Aristides Eli Orellana-Ramirez, a Salvadoran criminal illegal alien, in Charlotte after local authorities sought him on a murder warrant tied to the shooting deaths of two teenagers in December 2025. Following his arrest, he was transferred to the custody of the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office to face local homicide charges, while federal agents simultaneously filed an immigration detainer to ensure he is not released back into the community.

According to public records, Orellana-Ramirez is accused of killing 16-year-old Bravlio Galeano Ayala and 18-year-old Samir Canales Molina in southwest Charlotte, where police say both victims were shot during the same incident and later died after seeking help. A law enforcement spokesman said federal officers are coordinating closely with Charlotte-Mecklenburg authorities so that, if Orellana-Ramirez is convicted, he can be transferred to immigration custody for removal at the conclusion of his criminal case.
