Armelando Echeverria/Mexico/Possession with Intent to Distribute Controlled Substances

Armelando Echeverria, a 39-year-old illegal alien and citizen of Mexico, was arrested by Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) New Orleans due to his serious criminal history involving drug trafficking. Echeverria has a federal conviction for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of methamphetamine, a charge that carries significant penalties due to the dangerous and high-volume nature of the offense.

Federal court records show that Echeverria was a key figure in a larger drug distribution network operating across multiple states. During the investigation, law enforcement uncovered communications, financial transactions, and direct shipments tied to Echeverria’s activities. He played an integral role in securing and transporting methamphetamine for distribution and profit, endangering communities in the process.
