Blanca Castillo-Paredes/Honduras/Domestic Abuse, Assault

Blanca Castillo-Paredes, a 41-year-old citizen of Honduras, was arrested by Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) New Orleans following a targeted enforcement operation focused on individuals with criminal convictions involving violence against children. Castillo-Paredes was taken into custody without incident and is currently in ICE detention awaiting immigration proceedings.

Her criminal history includes a conviction for domestic abuse battery against a child under the age of 13, a charge that highlights a serious breach of both public trust and personal responsibility. In addition to that conviction, Castillo-Paredes was previously found guilty of simple assault, for which she served a six-month jail sentence. The nature of her offenses, especially involving a young victim, made her a priority target for immigration enforcement.

Castillo-Paredes had entered the United States unlawfully and was not authorized to remain in the country at the time of her arrest. ERO officers identified her as part of a review of criminal records and detainers related to child abuse and domestic violence cases across the region. Once in custody, ICE officers initiated proceedings to remove her from the United States based on her unlawful presence and criminal background.

She remains in ICE custody pending the outcome of her immigration case.
