Brandon Godoy-Perez/Mexico/Fraud

Brandon Godoy-Perez, a 22-year-old citizen of Mexico, was arrested by ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) Seattle and is currently detained at the Northwest ICE Processing Center (NWIPC) in Tacoma, Washington. Godoy-Perez is suspected of using fraudulent immigration documents to obtain employment in the United States. Unlike his co-arrestee, Herasimo Manjarrez, Godoy-Perez does not have a known prior criminal conviction or documented history of removal from the U.S.

The investigation into Godoy-Perez revealed that he allegedly presented counterfeit documentation to gain employment, a violation of federal immigration laws. ICE officials have stated that the use of fraudulent documents to secure employment undermines the nation’s immigration system and can pose security risks.
