Brandon Godoy-Perez, a 22-year-old citizen of Mexico, was arrested by ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) Seattle and is currently detained at the Northwest ICE Processing Center (NWIPC) in Tacoma, Washington. Godoy-Perez is suspected of using fraudulent immigration documents to obtain employment in the United States. Unlike his co-arrestee, Herasimo Manjarrez, Godoy-Perez does not have a known prior criminal conviction or documented history of removal from the U.S.

The investigation into Godoy-Perez revealed that he allegedly presented counterfeit documentation to gain employment, a violation of federal immigration laws. ICE officials have stated that the use of fraudulent documents to secure employment undermines the nation’s immigration system and can pose security risks. Individuals found to be engaging in such activities are subject to arrest and removal proceedings.

Godoy-Perez is currently in ICE custody pending the outcome of his immigration proceedings. His case highlights the agency’s ongoing efforts to identify and apprehend individuals who violate immigration laws, regardless of their criminal history. ICE continues to prioritize the enforcement of immigration laws to ensure public safety and uphold the rule of law.
