Vue has a prior conviction for first-degree criminal sexual conduct, classifying him as a sex offender. In addition to his sexual offense, federal authorities were monitoring him for potential additional criminal activity. Following his arrest, ICE assumed custody and placed him into immigration proceedings. He is now being held while awaiting further actions regarding his removal from the United States.
