Chuong Dinh Ho
Chuong Dinh Ho/Vietnam/Aggravated Assault with a Firearm
Vietnamese national Chuong Dinh Ho was arrested by federal immigration authorities in Minnesota during Operation Metro Surge. Ho was previously convicted of aggravated assault with a firearm. According to federal records, Ho was subject to a final order of removal dating back to 1999, nearly three decades before his recent arrest.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement took Ho into custody as part of the enhanced enforcement operation targeting individuals with criminal records in Minnesota. Despite the longstanding removal order issued in 1999, Ho remained in the United States until his detention during Operation Metro Surge. Federal officials documented Ho’s criminal conviction and removal history in official statements released to the public. His arrest exemplifies ICE’s focus on removing individuals convicted of violent firearm offenses who have been subject to outstanding removal orders.
