Cirilo Jimenez-Luna
Cirilo Jimenez-Luna/Mexico/DUI
Cirilo Jimenez-Luna, a 33-year-old Mexican national, was arrested by officers with the Salt Lake City Field Office’s Helena Sub-Office during enforcement operations in Bozeman, Montana. Jimenez-Luna had previously been removed from the United States but reentered the country unlawfully without inspection or parole by an immigration official. He was identified during routine enforcement activity and taken into ICE custody without incident.
Jimenez-Luna’s criminal history includes a conviction for driving under the influence as well as a separate conviction for drug possession. These prior offenses, along with his history of illegal reentry, contributed to his classification as a priority for arrest and removal. DUI offenses involving noncitizens often raise heightened public safety concerns, particularly when the individual has been deported before and still returned in violation of federal immigration law.
At the time of his apprehension, Jimenez-Luna did not possess any lawful immigration status and had no pending legal relief from removal. He was processed by Enforcement and Removal Operations officers and is now in ICE detention while his removal proceedings move forward. His case is being handled administratively, and ICE will continue coordinating with federal immigration courts to determine the next steps regarding his deportation.
