On January 28, 2025, ICE Houston arrested David Lopez-Javier, a citizen of Honduras. Lopez-Javier has been convicted of lewd and lascivious battery on a child and sentenced to 12 months and one day in jail.
Similar to Lopez-Javier, on January 29, 2025, ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) Houston arrested 45-year-old David Lopez-Javier, a citizen of Honduras, during a targeted operation in Conroe, Texas. According to ICE records, Lopez-Javier has illegally entered the United States at least three times and had previously been deported in both 2013 and 2016. Despite these removals, he unlawfully reentered the country without being inspected or paroled by a U.S. immigration officer.
Lopez-Javier has an extensive criminal history in the United States. He was convicted of lewd and lascivious battery on a child, for which he was sentenced to 12 months and one day in jail. In addition to that conviction, he has also been found guilty of cocaine trafficking, cocaine possession, illegal reentry after deportation, and larceny. These offenses occurred in various jurisdictions and contributed to his identification as a priority for enforcement by immigration authorities.
Following his most recent arrest, Lopez-Javier was taken into ICE custody without incident. At the time of his detention, there were no pending applications for immigration relief or protections filed on his behalf. He remains in ICE custody while removal proceedings are pending.
